Criminal Trespass Warning?

So I just received a criminal trespass warning for walking on the train tracks (personally I believe it was a bit ridiculous but hey the law is the law) and I was wondering 1) What exactly is a criminal trepass warning and 2) How serious is it?

if its only a warning you should be fine. i mean its only train tracks.

It is a warning given for trespassing. It is quite serious.
