Cultural rape of India?

Postby arvad » Thu Jul 12, 2012 12:31 am

Most of the world has no time, desire, intellect, inteligence, depth, cultural capacity or inquisitiveness to read and understand the vast pool of knowledge still left in India's history, heritage and individual possession, even after the fullest attempts of various invaders over millenium from the middle east and west to destroy the heritage, culture and religion there. Does anyone here know just one instance among numerous others, that the Moghuls had tried to destroy the ancient knowledge by setting fire to precious manuscripts in the libraries of universities in various parts of India which burnt for over 30 days non-stop??

Does any Indian know of the real history of the cultural rape of their country? As supposedly independant people, do they now value their own heritage and achievements of their ancestors? Do they try to guard it against capitalist and foreign predators? I think not, Indians are too busy trying to apply for membership into Western civilization. A torn, wounded civilization, whose young population has no idea of who they are and what their legacy involves. Imagine all the ancient knowledge of India being patented by the West and re-sold to India at exorbitant prices (texmati rice?). Big disgrace to world history!

As an American, it pains me to say that my country has caused more pain and suffering than any other. My country cares more about the dollar than the citizen. My country alienates its own people in the name of a "war on terror" which was nothing more than a campaign slogan to scare civilians and justify the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. My country is ****, and any one who disagrees needs to turn down your "Proud to be an American" song and try keeping up with world events.

Histrionics typical of a country that hates women.

People that yammer about cultural rapes demean the word rape by applying it to their own people voluntarily choosing to abandon backwards ways. Typically applied by people such as kings and priests who formerly sat on their butts all day and miss not working.

"uh WAH! uh WAH! we've been so mistreated over the centuries by all those meanies! uh WAH!" Do what the rest of the world does and move on! teach your children to be proud of their heritage but for their sake let go of the bitterness about the past!

Cultural rape of India?

you are right. india has one of the oldest, richest, most complex cultures in the history of the world (as far as we know, anyway). heck, even the Nazis marched to India to discover ancient secrets, and it has even been imagined that there they discovered some of the concepts for their astounding technological acheivements during WWII. I whole-heartedly beleive that egypt, babylon, india, china, maya, inca, and aztec were very important together and had communication with each other, via the polynesians; this would explain why the symbol of the swastika is prevelant in all of these ancient cultures, in the new and old world. it is no coincidence that hitler chose the swastika for his national symbol.
