Dating Question

Postby Godofredo » Wed Jun 25, 2014 9:43 am

Advertisement Expert: Edward Martinovich, Esq. - 10/29/2006 I live in Canada, and I'm 17(I'll be 18 next year). However, my girlfriend is only 14(15 next year). Will it still be legal for us to date next year? If so, then would we still be allowed to hug and kiss and whatever?

thanks,

lor.

Dating Question

Postby Connlaoth » Wed Jun 25, 2014 10:26 pm

Lorelyn:

Every state and country is different in terms of the age requirements.  Check out this site for the age reqts. in canada:http://www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm

I don't believe any country has laws against dating(going to movies, holding hands, kissing).  Laws against sexual touching of minors typically prohibit touching of the sex organs of a minor:  Breasts, vagina, penis, anus.  They also prohibit any other type of sexual contact.

But kissing and hugging is ok
