Desperate for serious advice re a medical malpractice.?

Postby yago » Thu Mar 08, 2012 2:31 am

I am very angry so probably emotional and irrational so thought I'd ask some advice before taking action.
My 17 year old daughter was attacked last year and found out afterward she was pregnant. She was too scared and ashamed to tell anyone. She went to our GP to arrange an abortion but was told to go to a clinic. She says that between the two of them she wasn't getting anywhere and was getting desperate so she tried to abort herself with a coat hanger!! She then telephoned our GP to explain what she had done and asked for advice. The doctor scolded her for "being so silly because she could have damaged herself permanently" and that was that. No follow up. No examination. Nothing.
My daughter gave birth to a little boy last friday. She didn't know she was pregnant! Noone knew. She thought she had terminated the pregnancy and has had monthly bleeds so thought it was all okay. Luckily my daughter and her beautiful baby are healthy and fine - on th eoutside anyway. I cannot bear to think of the psychological and emotional turmoil this poor girl has been through.
My partner, my daughter's father figure, was killed in March last year and this happened shortly afterwards. Our GPs knew this all and yet she was offered no support. There is something very wrong here and I want to go to the GP and smash her face in! My daughter could have died!
What shoud I do that is not going to get me in jail and do right by my daughter!
Please help.
