Did Shirley Sherrod Devote Fraud In Obtaining A Payment In The Pigford V. Glickman Class-Action Situation?

Postby felding10 » Sat Dec 28, 2013 1:03 am

In 1997, 400 african american producers sued the UNITED STATES Division of Agriculture, claiming they'd been unfairly rejected USDA loans due to the fact of racial discrimination, 1983 to 1997. The situation: Pigford v. Glickman. In 1999, the dark farmers gained. The govt decided to spend their claims to be settled by each and every of them as much as $ 50,. Subsequently, on two/23/2010, the USDA decided to to create shocking $1.25 million much more to Pigford since the special quantity of plaintiffs? 400 black producers? had now swollen in a-class action suit to 86,000 black farmers all through America, nevertheless the Us doesn?t have 86,000 black farmers. Relating census information, the sum total quantity of black farmers is just 39,697. How did 39,697 enhance into 86,000 promises? How did $50,000 boost into $1.25 million? Shirley Sherrod headed this circumstance in her placement in 1997 in the?Rural Improvement Leadership Network? AND her family members rec'd the greatest individual payment(around. $13 million), NOT $50,000. Precise or NOT?

Can you guess how much money Shirley and her husband has finagled out of the government including the Obama Administration. Should be upwards of 20 million by now. And.....now the FCC has granted them a radio station license in Georgia. Do you suppose that they'll fill the airwaves with hate for white people, particularly Jewish white people. What a country... 41 months ago

So let's review. We have a woman whose father was killed by racist goons. She helped a white farmer family, even remained friends with them, and for this she got slandered with a little out-of-context video clip. Which was played again and again on Fox News and other babble outlets. So now, a month later, as recompense, the slander happens again. In the cowardly way of framing a bunch of idiotic assertions in the form of a question.Next time, try something a little less unlikely than a USDA employee getting $13 million and staying at their job. I just know you can do better at making stuff up than that.   Ancient_Hacker 40 months ago

Let's do the math. The USDA has tallied up about 2.1 million farms in the USA. Under the definition of anyplace with more than $1,000 in agricultural production. The data on the number of farmers from the US Census is useless. That's only people that self-identify as farmers. A large percentage of farmers, more than 50% actually, have some other job during the winter, and identify as that, or as "retired", so YOU CANNOT USEW THE CENSUS DATA for this.So FORGET the census number. The USDA number is far more reliable.Now.The percentage of people self-identifying as "black" is about 13 percent. If blacks made up a equal proportion of farmers, that would be about 270,000 farms. So that's an upper limit. I'd guess blacks don't go into farming quite so much, so the actual number will be considerably less than 270,000.If we guess that blacks are only 1/3 as likely to farm, that's still 90,000 farmers.   Ancient_Hacker 40 months ago
