Do you have a food storage?

Postby wilbart » Mon Apr 30, 2012 6:01 am

Many people aren't prepared for the unexpected.

Right now the USA's only real economic options are: A) Hyperinflation and our money becoming worthless. Or B) Economic Depression.

If our money becomes worthless how will you get food? Food is cheap right now. The government is keeping the prices down. Get some.

Other countries are laughing at us, laughing at how many people in the USA don't know our economy is at risk. When all of them can tell hell in the USA is really possible.

Some reasons I found on the internet
--------------------------------------…
http://www.preparewise.com/blog/top-5-reasons-food-storage/
1.Security:

In a broad sense, the conversation about emergency preparedness is framed around the topic of security, and with good reason. Building a long term food storage supply capable of protecting your family is perhaps one of the most usable and trustworthy insurance policies you can buy. There are no penalties, no premiums, and when the need to use it emerges there will be no misgivings about what your protection plan will do for you.
2. Affordability:

I’ve mentioned this before in a previous post, but I think it’s worth touching on again since I keep hearing in the news how the cost of goods all around the world are consistently on the rise. The idea of evading inflation and purchasing products before the price of food (and other goods) potentially outpaces an honest salary is not only smart, it seems to carry a sense of urgency it may not have had before.
3. Protection for Your Family:

Most of us would do whatever it takes to protect the people we love. It’s a natural instinct, and it’s part of the reason consumers demand high quality products that are safe to use. Facing an emergency might not be the kind of thing you think about regularly, but it should be considered a genuine threat to a family’s safety, and accumulation of secure long term food storage can help answer that call for protection.
4. Self-Reliance:

If people are ever confronted with a shortage of food it will be every man, woman, and child for themselves, and neighborly love will go out the window. All right, it might not be that severe, but being well supplied with your own storage food will mean you won’t need to lean on others when there are mouths to feed and supplies are limited.
5. Peace of Mind:

If you’ve ever made a decision with absolutely zero apprehensions then you know all about that corresponding sense of calm. That’s peace of mind. It is knowing that your judgment is based on a firm conviction that you are doing the right thing. You might have to take my word for it, but that same feeling holds true when you commit to building a supply of food storage. It’s a smart decision that provides families with the protection and security they deserve, and honestly, what could feel more right than that.

Don't plan and believe in the worst. Believe in being prepared for anything that arises.

Have a nice day. And answer me this: Do you have a food storage? (Don't say yes unless you have a supply that could last one year+ for everyone in your family.)

We aren't at risk for the type of crisis at this time. Sure things could get bad, but even in worst-case scenarios most people can still get food (unless USA is invaded or something, and our infrastructure completely collapses like in Germany during WWI).

I keep a few jars of peanut butter and several boxes of crackers around, but it's not going to help in a major economic crisis.

So you're wading into the Survivalist creed. Shall we start stockpiling weapons, too?

Don't presume about Haiti. That's going a bit far.

On the subject of riots: http://tinyurl.com/867rl4t

I hope all your carefully stored food won't go to feed hungry savages.
