I need someone who will listen to my case without charging me an arm and a leg first. I tried looking into an attorney myself already, but nobody who wrote me back seemed serious about helping. They all want hundreds for a consultation and then thousands up front for a retainer. This seems like a pretty solid case to me, so I feel like a serious attorney would be willing to negotiate or even take the case on contingency. Take the hint. If you can't find an attorney who is willing to take your case on a contingency basis, you have no case.
An attorney is not going to spend his time and money on a case that he knows he can't win. That is the reason that they are asking you for large retainers and money up front.
