Isint there a stronger law on internet defamation? ?

Some of you have probably seen my name on a few annoying questions whether I am dating Ville Valo. I have never asked this question and find it completely annoying and destructive to my name.

These two ladies have also started multiple hate pages against me, claiming that I am a fake and that I am 32 years old..and even claiming that I am a cult leader. Everything they have said is completely false and they are attempting to destroy my name. These two women went from being a huge obssessive fan of my brothers band to going insane after I didnt pay them "enough" attention. They are also damaging my brothers band which is made up of guys all under 18 years old. The lady that started this is 55 years old and used to be obssessed with my younger brother. This obsession led to anger and is now accusing us of multiple things.

So my question is...

Isint there stronger laws against this kind of thing?
Iv already contacted the police department..but I am sick of waiting.

These people need to find a better hobby then messing with the minds of young people.

I agree but I was sued by a guy for writing on my blog about thoughts I had on a neighbor acting out of line. That was my personal blog and no one read it but the neighbor who was stalking me. Then he printed my blog and posted it on everyone's door in my condo complex and sued me for what I said about him.

Well no one would have known about it at all if he had not printed it and posted it to everyones door.

That is how I won the case.
