Around or an estimation. Iam sure it varies by state, but I recommend, the lawyer charge necessary. or does it need a lawyer's participation? On Legalzoom.com I will get it accomplished --and that will be quicker? Simply need to eliminate a title from a deed, of the purchasing camp.

Does Anybody Know What A Simple Deed Transfer Costs, Filing With A Lawyer?

Postby curtiss62 » Fri Jan 31, 2014 1:35 pm

I just purchased my first home, then went 4 days later to get married, when I looked into changing my name on the paperwork for the house to my married name my mortgage lender(countrywide) told me that to change the name on the deed and other paper work it would be $100. (At least I think that was what she said, I want to say 100 to 150) I just remember thinking, Seriously... just to change my name.  because no where else did I have to PAY to get my name changed on any document, but I suppose that it probably had to do with legal fees and what not.  So I think that is a little different then what you are doing, but thought I'd share in case it at all helps! (I never did change it by the way, I just felt that was a waste of money when the payments will go through no matter what name they have on file)  But obviously getting someone taken off of a deed that no longer belongs there is a different matter, then I would have paid.

how about a house deed? Sadiemarie said: 4 You can fill out a quit claim deed yourself. You can probably get one free from your bank, courthouse, Registrars Office or buy one at Office Max or another office supply. The Quit Claim will need to have the legal description on it and the names of all the parties with interest in the property, including the bank, mortgage company or investor noted, if there is money owed on the camp. You can hand write "send copy to ___________" if there is a bank... involved. They will need it for the file.Take the Notorized Document(your bank usually will do this free of charge) to the Registrars Office in the City or County where the hunting camp is located to file it to have it registered. The highest I ever had to pay was $15.00 to have something registered. It varies only by city or county and number of pages.THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART: IF there is a mortgage or loan on the camp, you ARE NOT RELEASED from your part of that obligation, if the other party(s) should default. You will still be responsible for any money owed, which means you no longer have a right to the property, but you signed a contract that you pay and the only thing that removes you from that, is to have the loan paid or go into foreclosure with your name and anyone else on the loan. 55 months ago
