Postby stanciyf » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:15 pm

i grew up in New York Sate and Unfortunately Attended Special Education Schools for Behavior Problems When i was younger i skipped classes on a regular basis or not show up, my mother received letters and was taken to Court i Threatened both the judge and my parents i would Run away if i had to keep going. i wanted to be in regular school like everyone else as i was not Retarded unlike everyone else there after being put away twice in a group home i finally Threatened my mother to sign me out in 2004, when i was 17 years old. ( 9 years ago) i'm 25 now and have no regret or plan on getting my GED to get a high school diploma as i don't care because i cannot work and get Supplemental Security Income and Foodstamps, i did not quit because my Family's income or poor grades but because i was tired of being labeled something i'm not. in New York would my parents be Require by law to continue to stay in special education until i was 21, if i did not Quit school? just asking...

Are you saying that the reason you don't care is because your plan is to get on SSI and foodstamps and that you can't do that with a job?
