Does the National Defense Authorization Act allow imprisonment of American citizens without due process?

Postby tim » Sun Jul 22, 2012 2:46 am

I know the conspiracy theories, and from that end it sounds pretty screwed up. But I would like an answer from someone who actually knows the new NDAA, not just someone who has read part of it or heard from Alex Jones. Please give me an answer.... How scary is this act?
Is it true American citizens can be arrested for stocking food? This doesn't seem legit, since there are public service ads advising people to prepare for natural disasters. If the gov't didn't want people preparing for natural disaster/economic collapse/martial law/etc. Why would they tell us to prepare for such events? Answers please. Not from people who think they know the truth, but from people that DO KNOW THE TRUTH! Thank you

No, the National Defense Authorization Act does NOT allow imprisonment of American citizens without due process.

No, it is not true that "American citizens can be arrested for stocking food".

There are a lot of misrepresentations about the Act that conspiracy buffs tout, but if you read the actual Act as enacted into law you will find them false.
