That was almost as long as the healthcare bill itself. And like the healthcare bill, I doubt anybody here actually read it.
you gotta be a lawyer just to understand all the "legalese" in that monstrosity of a so-called health care bill, BEWARE!!

There are 78 Republican members of Congress who are lawyers. Why did you fail to mention that fact?

"President Bush is a businessman."

Actually, Bush is a tycoon. If he wasn't born rich he would be living under a bridge.

According to an actual study, law suites are responsible for about 2.4% of the nation's healthcare spending.

But the author won't let facts stand in the way of his silly rant. Damages in legal cases should be decided by COURTS. Not by arbitrary laws passed by seat shiners who don't know anything specific about the cases.

LOL, we wouldn't want our law makers to be experts on the law.

Good points.

There are far too many democrat politicians who are lawyers.

I think that is one reason healthcare is in such a pickle.

Also, the Dem lawyers know how to find loopholes to help the Dem president get around the majority vote of the people.

The lawyers figure out that they can do things like appoint czars. These czars are not vetted by the other party. They are simply appointed to fit Obama's will. Hence Obama is dictating to the people rather than submitting to majority rule.

George W Bush did not create wealth. He would never have been anyone except for his Daddy.

Dick Cheney should be in prison. He cheated the US government out of millions as CEO for Enron.

Yes lawyers are scum of the earth but so are the CEO's of healthcare companies that have denied coverage to people with pre-exisiting conditions. So are the health care employees who denied people coverage to save their companies money so their own careers could move forward. As a result, people died. People that really deserved health care and sincerely thought they were playing by the rules.
The healthcare industry was corrupt and in need of reform. Corporate greed, a classic malaise of the Republican party was at least partially at fault. You cannot blame this one entirely on the lawyers.

From this, it looks to me like the difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans play the Money game in order to win (i.e., make the most profit doing whatever it is they do as non lawyers or otherwise) and the Democrats play the Money game in order to win (i.e., make the most profit doing whatever it is they do as lawyers or otherwise).

Oh wait. In that case, there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats.

Health Care is a mess because both the Republican Party and Democratic Party agree that Money is more important to both Republicans and Democrats than the health of the American people, period.

This socially irresponsible conclusion on their part is logically inevitable because Republicans and Democrats that hold office are among the elite American citizens that have secure paying jobs - the salaries for which are entirely determined by the Democrats and Republicans in office - and can always afford at least some form of high quality health care no matter what cost is charged for it.
