Driving is new York without a license?

Me and my girlfriend were in the car going to help jump start our friends car. She was driving and neither of us have a license. Only a permitt. He pulled us over and she got three tickets, one for a traffic violation, one for no license driving past 9 and another for no insurance. Her car was towed.

Does she have to appear in front of a judge? The cop didn't mention anything about court. He just said come pick up the car by with a licensed driver.

She was also scheduled to take her road test next Monday. Will she still be able to take the test?

I don't know the laws in NY, but here she would have been arrested and taken to jail on top of the tickets. The tickets should say if she has to appear or not, usually on the bottom somewhere. If she is unsure, just have here call the police dept.

Yes, she will have to see a judge. She'll be notified of a court date and more than likely that her junior license is suspended. It only takes two minor violations on a junior license to get a 60 day suspension. She can't seriously believe that she will go on to test and get her license. NOT.
