Drugs And Alcohol And Minor Child

Postby Aodhfionn » Sun Feb 02, 2014 3:14 am

End-Of September 2006, my now-17 yo girl visited live with her dad (who lives 6 miles from me and 16 yo) since I had been also rigid and "Dad can not afford to live off the vessel and in a flat by his partner until he does not pay child-support for me." Guy makes almost 100k a year.Anyway, she named me, and informed me "Dad does not understand how to cope with lady issues. He desired to understand why I had been during sex and not preparing supper for him. I told him I'd pains. He made tea for me, place a lot of bourbon inside it and then offered me a sleeping tablet. I do not understand what type, perhaps Tylenol Pm, i'm-not certain but I rested. Is not that HUMOROUS?"Booze, a bit, and Tylenol may turn off the liver, with respect to the individual, she is tiny.I am livid. I'm likely to suppose heis simply an idiot (he's) but could it be advisable to create this up in an incident management conference, that'll occur quickly. If she's compelled to come back home, living is likely to be heck...she's permitted amazing independence, altho she appears to be managing it properly. She's started a business with someone else, is earning money, and her levels are outstanding as normal. He must be punished by someone in control, and I'M-NOT that individual, he might offer her more simply because he could if someone apart from me, does not tell him not to. He works on an emotional degree of 9 to 12 yrs old, is passive-aggressive and won't pay attention to a lady, particularly me. She loves her dad, although she admits he treats her nearly as poorly as he handled me, sans the bodily abuse. Is my only option to consider this into a judge, and danger his receiving jail-time? Or does somebody believe a talk between attorneys or this raised at event management is going to do it? I don't have confidence in alcohol for minors under any conditions, but he's an idiot as it pertains to children...THEIR parents provided him liquor, and he sees nothing wrong with little levels of alcohol.

I think you are SERIOUSLY overreacting. Why don;t you have a chat with your daughter about the danger of combining the two and suggest in future she share that information with her father.

Drugs And Alcohol And Minor Child

When the kid were 7 I'd be surprised. But she is 17. She must certanly be dealing with age where she could make a smart enough choice on her behalf own regarding this sort of problem (even when father can not). I believe she only requires a "good sense" chat. I'm-not an attorney, but I can not notice going to trial over this issue.

To begin with - you consider this to judge, and how are you likely to show it? You may not believe your child may testify against her dad? And in most honesty, I've to accept Lynn - you're overreacting centered on your personal values. From the growing up and my Mother placing a dash of bourbon in tea when I was ill. Much better than Nyquil anyday. And it dind't change me into an alcohol. Combining the liquor with Tylenol? Explauin the hazards for your child. This is not worth a visit to judge, IMO.

Thanks. I appreciate your on-target opinions. You are proper, and I appreciate being set directly. I was non-confrontational with her, I need certainly to keep consitently the lines of communication available. Our talk about combining both was completed at that time she explained. But this isn't a period to begin peaceful "child neglect," it simply set me off.Thank you and I will keep consitently the psychological material off here.
