Evading a traffic control device ticket?

today I was pulled over for "evading a traffic control device" what I did was pull into a dirt lot and stop then proceed to continue on the road I didn't pull over in order to evade the stop sign I pulled over in order to avoid the 4 buses in front of me, so if I took this to court would I be able to get this ticket dropped? This is in Chesterfield, Va

fight it in court you have a good chance of getting it dropped

If you went around the stop sign, you did the same thing regardless of your intent. Your best chance at getting it dropped may be to accept responsibility and ask the court for traffic school and/or community service.
