Facebook issue - can you help?

Postby vipponah » Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:01 pm

I recently deleted a family member 'in law' from my list of facebook friends because they were repeatedly saying negative things about photos I would post. I think the negative comments were meant to be funny but after the fifth time I just lost my patience and deleted them. Now they want me to add them again but I' mwondering if I should tell them why I deleted them in the first place and will only add them again if they promise not to post negative 'funny' comments. What do you think - should I give them a second chance after explaining my expectations or should I just let matters drop and start fresh and just add them again.

You should definitely tell them why, their family. It might have been better to say something sooner, instead of deleting them. Hind sight is 20/20 though

Facebook issue - can you help?

I have had the same experience. I have blocked like almost all my family members on facebook like my cousins because I dont like it when they say negative things. I uploaded a picture with me and my best friend and my cousin said 'that should be a girl' I felt bad because it was my best friend who I was with so I quickly blocked him. Anyways I think you should either add them to a 'restricted' list which they won't be able to see many wall post that you make, no photos and, they won't be able to send you msgs on there. All they really can do is post on your wall and comment on that. I think that is what best fits you but you can always block them too but that might be a little too much. I hope I have resolved your question?
