Family law child custody?

Postby darik2 » Mon Apr 04, 2011 8:10 pm

Hi I am British and my partner (we are estranged) is naturalised French and has given birth to baby girl in Thailand. She has decided that it would be a good idea to register the birth locally without my name on the birth certificate. In essence she has no Father. I am not ready to go back just yet and the legal fees are quite expensive. I will also have to attend court in Thialnd. There is also a risk that the family court will throw the case out as we are both foregin.

My question is this - does anyone know if I can bring a case or what I will need to do in order for me to get her to change it from the UK.

Many thanks

Why don't you look in the yellow pages for a solicitor who gives free advice over the phone, at least you might have something to go on, and they mat be able to advise you on what to do, or who to see. Good luck.
