Postby byron92 » Sun Aug 14, 1994 9:48 pm

Okay so i'm currently fourteen,
but tomorrow is my birthday, so i want to get my learners permit,
But in order to do the permit test,
i have to do the 4 hour substance abuse, & traffic law,
I'm doing all of this online,
http://www.florida-firsttimedriverscourse.com/
could i do the four hour test tonight, So then it will be done for tomorrow while i'm still 14 doing that test?

You can take the 4 hour class when you are 14. I've never heard of that company, but if they will email your certificate online, you canuse it for your permit. But you have to be 15 to get your permit.

The Rules
Under Florida DMV guidelines, you must wait until your 15th birthday before you can apply for a Learners Permit.

All applicants are required to complete a Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course, pass a the written DMV test, plus a vision and hearing test in order to obtain the permit. You then must hold the learners permit for 12 months and log 50 hours of supervised driving prior to applying for a driver license.
The Florida Driver's Ed Course
All first time drivers in the State of Florida are required to take a driver's ed class called the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse and Education course before applying for their learners permit. By taking this course, first time drivers learn how alcohol and other drugs affect their ability to drive, laws and responsibilities, about safe driving techniques, and how to increase their awareness on our roadways.

Good Luck!

Tyler its a sammich not a sandwich -.-.

Anyways, if the test says "enter your age" and you say 14 and it doesn't allow you, then just wait until midnight or tom. morning. Don't lie about yor b-day, that's stupid :).
