punished by physical pain as well? If no, then why not?

I'm curious to hear the thoughts of those who believe in spanking, since in the current law system, there is no such thing as physical pain for discipline of criminals. Instead, the current American law is that jail guards are not allowed to lay a hand on the inmates.

Imagine a person who grows up to believe that physical pain is a way of being punished because his or her parents spanked him, but then goes out into the world, of where that discipline does not exist ... what would happen to that individual?

It seems bizarre to me that we are allowed to treat the most vulnerable people in society in a way which is illegal to behave towards everybody else.

(Sorry, I know this question was not directed at me, but I felt it was worth saying anyway.)

I liked it better when we locked someone up in the middle of town and threw rocks and dirt on them for a designated amount of time. Criminals, Misdemeanors as well as felonies, should have physical pain inflicted upon them, depending on the crime. And for murderers, there's a Shark tank down the street, just saying.

A society that uses violence is liable to have violence visited upon it. Violence is not an effective preventive or corrective response to misbehaviour or to crime. Deprivation of liberty may not be corrective, but is preventive.

I believe that it is inappropriate for the state to administer corporal punishment. Once the state has to get involved, other methods are more appropriate. What methods?:

Confinement
Fines
Restitution/Community service (for minor offenses)
Capital punishment (Preferably the guillotine. For those of you who are wondering, I am of partial French ancestry, but I am a lifelong American.)

Spank-ing is a law word, and
so is children a law word. So then
"be no more children" is like saying
be no more f-lawed; But graced & truthed.
There are no children in "let us make man".

Law: criminalizing, blame-ing, shame-ing,
is what "we are delivered from": Romans 7:6,
in response to "deliver us from evil": Matthew 6:13.

Grace doesn't criminalize, blame, shame, punish.
It grows people up, and it awares people, until
they willingly put away the blame game of law.
For then people are "approved unto God",
which has no more need of law shaming.

Law is not with, but "against us all".
Grace is not against, but "with you all".
