Former Boss Coming After Me Because I Contacted His Clients And Association Informing Of His Illegal Practices...

Postby Agustin » Sat Jan 11, 2014 5:35 am

My former boss is a approach serving business. There are many things that are illegal and he made company policy.ILLEGAL: not mailing debtor copy of garnishments, falsely notarizing proofs of service, forging method servers signatures on proofs of servicesUNETHICAL: asking personnel to lie to consumers, "physician" attempts created by servers, push by means of "negative serves"(illegal as properly)I gather evidenced(photographs, emails, skype conversations, recorded convo)Right after talking to him about every thing, and telling me to "look the other way" I quit.I felt my legal and ethical obligation was to contact his clientele and the state association for procedure servers to let them know what was going on. He is now attempting to come soon after me for "wrongful interference with contractual relations and slander" and claiming I "deleted emails and skype files" and that I stole a "hole puncher, label maker, employee procedures manual" ... I did NOT delete or steal anything!! What can I do? Was I wrong?

Ethically, I can understand why you did it, but you should not have said anything to his clients. He should have been reported to the cops for the illegal acts and probably the BBB instead. That would have been the proper way to do things. His clients would have found out later. I would talk to an attorney.. maybe he/she will be able to get you out of trouble, but it looks bad from here to me. 48 months ago

If he actually files a suit against you, fine. Then you go to court and evaluate the evidence(or lack thereof) that he produces. Meanwhile, you seem to have him over a barrel, which is exactly why he's doing this. The evil always try to spook the righteous in hopes that fear will make them at least leave this evil one alone. Don't let that work. You did the right thing so far. Continue in that. What you could do is report his actions to the state(along with everything else) by way of seeing whether there is anything in their provisions, or in labor law provisions, to prosecute or fine an employer(or former employer) for harrassment. Conversely, the principal of "the best defense is a good offense" would say that you could sue him in court for harrassment. Ya see, he's hoping for a "settlement" where you agree to drop your case against him. And that only works if he has something to trade. He doesn't, but that don't matter--he need only appear to have something to trade(leaving you alone.) If you countersue, then you have him personally paying you for this malarkey and he just lost even more. Let him lose. BTW, you don't need to prove anything to us. We know you're cool because we've seen his type before.

A new worker at a bakery shop noticed a mouse nibbling on a loaf of bread in its pan and told his employer who brushed it aside. So the worker reported it to the health department who are now investigating. The evidence is the main thing. 48 months ago

TurboB said: 1 Sounds to me like your motivation was a little more personal revenge than "legal and ethical obligation", and it backfired on you. That being said, you need to get a lawyer. I have a feeling this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. The "evidence" you collected was personal and private conversations and documents - and you broke the law by copying them. Seek legal advice, and do it as soon as possible. You might be going to jail. 48 months ago
