Fridge Glass Shelf

Having a dispute with a tenant or landlord? Rental Law discussion

Fridge Glass Shelf

Postby Hefeydd » Sat May 24, 2014 10:24 pm

Our issue entails landlord-tenant legislation within the State-Of: RI
I'm working out with tenant on the issue of a refridgerator ledge that damaged after I washed it before going out. It is 3 months and despite all my efford I still can't find that spend any vendor. Concerned he may attempt to get just as much cash as he might from my protection deposit.
Can somebody tell me whether it's an ordinary deterioration or may he truly withhold $$ or more to just how much?
Thank you.

no, it is not normal wear and tear. He can deduct whatever the shelf is worth.

They'd probably attempt to cost the whole worth of the appliance whilst the lack of the ledge seriously limits the performance of the applying. Should you challenge it using the surfaces, perhaps you are ready to obtain it decreased some but just how much could be as much as the court.

A broken refrigerator shelf is not normal wear and tear.

Your landlord will be permitted to withhold the amount necessary to replace that part.
