Ok so I work in a Criminal Law office in downtown Albuquerque, NM. I've been parking in the same spot for over a year and suddenly got a parking ticket one day for parking too close to a stop sign. The law says within 30 feet! (which is actually quite a long ways)
Ever since I stopped parking there, there's a nice wide open spot (the only free spot on our street) so people like to park there very often. We saw a policeman park there once and mentioned something to him, he stated the law is only 10 feet from the sign, which of coarse I know is wrong now. Today we saw a Sheriff park there! I wanna know what can be done at this point. The curb isn't painted, there's no "no parking from here to corner" signs, nothing. I don't think it's far that I paid $30 when the rest of the world can continue using it, including city employees! Is there a free number I can call to get the curb painted, or to get a ticket put on a police car? My desk is straight line-of-sight with that spot so I see soooo many people parking there without tickets.
