Got hurt working at a summer camp and I was wondering how my worker compensation works?

I was hurt mountain biking on a trip with campers and I had to go hospital. I then went home and had surgery. I now cannot work at that camp anymore and the surgery and hospital bills are expensive.  My contract briefly mentions I have workers compensation and some sort of insurance through the camp. I'm new to all this stuff and don't know how it all works. I was hoping someone here could help me out with what I could possibly get out of this situation, if anything at all. Thanks.

Contact your local Human Resources office and ask about the compensation.

they should have filed the workers comp paperwork the day that the incident happened. If they didn't then you have a problem with workers comp insurance. I would call the camp and get the health insurance information and contact the insurance company to file a claim.
