Have Jehovah's Witness Teaching's Complicated Jesus' "Simple Message of Love"?

Postby kalvin71 » Sun Dec 18, 2011 5:18 am

How simple did our Lord Jesus make His Way of the Truth known to us, Brothers?

When we believed on the name of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit He promised us, He baptized us into His teachings, the answers of morality, obedience, truth, love of neighbor, courage, ALL the things the WT claims to teach with book after book, (see Ecclesiastes: 12-12) we are taught and these things are written onto the tablets of our hearts, by the Holy Spirit.

Do those of Christ Jesus need their literature, to have salvation?

God Almighty has provide His only needed Book, the Bible, and His Holy Spirit. What more is necessary?

Is it so complicated, this truth of our Lord Jesus, that his followers should need a legal empire, lawyers to protect their sex-offenders, a publishing company, an "Organization" that delivers stories of artfully contrived false prophesy ?

Is Jesus behind a business like this?

Is Jesus a "Simple Shepard"?. Or,
Is Jesus backing a man-made, publishing company, and a man- driven Corporation in New York, U.S.A., that is complicated, demanding, threatening, competition encouraging, and controlling of it's little sheep?

Do these things describe "Love" to you?

Have Jehovah's Witnesses Complicated Jesus' "simple message" of Love?

Romans 13:8 "Do not you people be owing anybody a single thing, except to love one another, for he that loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law."

Romans 13:10 "Therefore love is the law's fulfillment."

I think they have, how about you?

No, we don't need other publications other than the Bible alone, to teach us how to live and be saved. No "updating" is needed. However, they have published their own Bible that only their religion uses and I feel suspicious of that.

Joy to you!

Oh I see now, you're 'that guy'. The one that hates Witnesses so much he can't stop talking about them, even when he says he done with them for super real this time. Kinda sad.

Nope. I don't agree with you. JW's haven't complicated anything but it sure seems you're trying to make JW's more complicated to other people.

The same type of distorted view and accusations that you make here against the Witnesses were also spewed against the apostles in the first century by self-proclaimed "superfine apostles" and others. (2 Corinthians 11:5) It's nothing new.

Jesus said it would be by their fruits--not such criticism--that you recognize his disciples, by the love they have among themselves and show to others. Have Jehovah's Witnesses demonstrated such love? Yes they have, even in the most trying of circumstances. Take for example their staunch refusal to go along with the Nazis at a time when most others, many of whom probably would've had your approval as loving Christians with the 'true', 'simple' teaching of Jesus, did. One researcher concludes:

"Jehovah's Witnesses can rightfully claim to have resisted the 'wicked.' In a literal sense they have fulfilled their own claim of being true followers of Jesus Christ, while the two large churches in Germany, as they openly admit, failed terribly. . . . Without the example of this steadfast Christian group . . . we would--after Auschwitz and the Holocaust--have to doubt whether it is at all possible to fulfill the Christian teachings of Jesus." (Dr. Gabriele Yonan. Journal of Church and State; Spring 1999, p. 322)

Another publication states, "If more people practiced versions of what the Jehovah’s Witnesses preach and practice, the Holocaust could have been prevented and genocide would scourge the world no more." (Holocaust Politics; 2001)

Jehovah's Witnesses are united, not by some legal corporation, not by blind faith in any men in Brooklyn, not by holding to legalism found in a magazine, but by real love for one another. The kind of love that transcends all worldly divisions and is truly self-sacrificing. It's the very love Jesus taught and though is spoken much about is rarely actually practiced. But like those that refused to listen to Jesus, if you don't want to see it when it's right in front of your face, you won't.
