Help! ...cooking quail?!?

Postby barend31 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 10:01 am

I have been asked to cook 6 quail for a dinner with my parents-in-law. I'm ok in the kitchen, but all the recipes I found online seem so complicated... can I cook them like they were chickens?

You can just fry them on the grill spattering of wine

You can cook them very much the same as a chicken, but watch the timing.
If you have a few recipes for quail, cut out all of the bits and concentrate on the cooking of the quail.

All you really need is white wine, EVOO, Sea Salt & Pepper, Butter then in to hot oven and I like to serve it with risotto and broccoli.

Best way is to spatchcock them they are very small so it will be east and braise them in red wine and garlic good luck. You can cook them whole like a chicken
