im 23 years old and have a 4 year old I am very interested in law and journalism so I applied to two different places and I cant decide what to do. I live in montreal and wasnt able to get into university here without being a mature student so i decided to apply in toronto and vancouver.
1st option: is a college for broadcast journalism which is a 2 year program pros: my sons grandma (exs mum)and cousins live there (also my ex is not far away he wants to stay in montreal)so they could help out, toronto is a cosmopolitan city great for journalism cons: its a college program so i would just get a college degree and its not guaranteed money with journalism.
2nd option: 4 year program at a university with major in journalism and minor in criminology.
pros: i would get a university degree and could go to law school after that if i wished to do so, vancouver is beautiful, my parents and brothers and sisters are closerrr than now (they live 10 hours from vancouver- right now they live 4 days away lol)
cons: it is a long program, vancouver is not as much of a city as toronto, no broadcast opportunities at this school, no family but good friends.
what would you suggest i should do?
