google the tax assesors office in the town the property is in Mississippi. They are very helpful; tell them what you're wanting to find out and the person there will give you the name and number of who to call. Actually I talked to the tax assessors office in Noxubee Mississippi and they told me that they did not know of any gas rights. So I tried the Mississippi state and oil gas board..they told me that there was no activity in that county for over 15 years..But I know that the land is being leased out because people are living off the royalty's of it.
