I'm 42, he's 29, but we relate well. We have told each other some personal stuff, but nothing over the top. I have noticed restraint on his part - I will curse now and again when I can't get a weight up, and he never lets a bad word slip. So I kind of feel like we're friends, but with a slight border. But sometimes things are said/ done that leave me with inappropriate responses in my head, and then I can't think of anything right to say, leaving me looking like a speechless jackass. For instance, he once said to me "you're no good to either of us in bed"(meaning injury) - don't tell me he didn't leave himself wide open for a comeback - but I didn't. Then yesterday I was on the elliptical and he came out of the office to check on me. He started rubbing his arms so I asked him if he was cold; he said "yes," then said "I oughta climb up there with you." Am I blind and is he coming on to me, or is he just naive and leaving himself open without thinking?
