How can I make my parents allow me to go to parties?

I'm 17 almost 18 and I've never been to any parties. My parents only let me hang out with people their age or other Muslim girls that I don't necessarily have a lot in common with or like. All throughout highschool I've been through so much trouble just because i wanted a social life and I wanted to feel like I was something. I really want to start going to social events but my patents never let me since they r Muslim and I really sucks sitting at home all day long feeling like you accomplished absoluley nothing. I've built trust with my parents but no matter how honest I am they will never even consider letting me go to social events like parties. All I ever wanted was to feel like I had a life what are some things I can do to make my life less suckish.( I was born in raised in the US)

Who cares what they say? Just sneak out! Thats what I do when i want to get drunk and used!

Tell them how you feel they have to understand. Try arranging a curfew or making sure to go with a friend that your family trusts. I understand how you feel and if they don't let you out now then once you get that freedom you won't know he to handle it. Talk to them about what they're afraid of and vow to never dissapoint them by doing those things,. You should talk to your mom first if your dad is strict but if they don't allow you out oh well. You only have a few more months.......

i know how you feel, cos my parents are Asian & are strict too. anyhow, i think you shouldn't take it as far as a party. they get wild & crazy, and you might end up doing something you'll regret later. they're right for not letting you go to parties, because it honestly is for your own good. you'll end up drinking & who knows, something might happen. anyhow, i think you should invite a couple friends over first. introduce them to your parents & watch some movies or order a pizza. when your parents see what good, responsible, mature people you hangout with, they'll probably free their reins on you & perhaps let you go to that party. i think that's a good starting point & they'll learn to trust you more. or, if you hangout with your parents, invite a friend along because you'll always be within your parents' sight. i wish you luck C:

You have to get them to realise that you are old enough to handle those party situations, they have obviously raised you right if your not going behind their backs and lying try and get them to see that. i am not sure about the muslim culture but if they wanted to raise you in a place with lots of people with no religious value they should expect these things.

Ask them why they won't let you go to parties. Don't sneak out if you do you will lose their trust with you. Find compromises like have your friends over first and have your parents meet them to make sure they are nice and mature and seee how that works out. Hopee this helps!

If it is supposed to something haram happens in the party so I think this is their right not to let you go there and if nothing haram will happen talk to them and convince them about it.
