How come we can't carry guns in holsters similar to during the cowboy era?

i believe in the 2nd ammendment, to many criminal have weapons. We need to protect ourselves. Enough with the gun laws.

I believe that you can if you get a permit to. The second amendment was written while the United States was under occupation of British soldiers, and guns took about a minute to shoot and reload. You second amendment people go over-board way too often.

if you have a concealed carrying permit,you can legally carry it on your person

I don't know where you live, but in a lot of places you can carry a gun in a holster, you just need an open-carry permit.

You can here in Michigan we are an open carry state. As long as the weapon is not concealed and you are not in a car or at some of the exempt places you can carry a handgun on you with no permit needed. Also you can get a concealed weapons permit if you met the requirements.

Because people let the government deny them their rights. Also in many states you can. Arizona has no such ridiculous laws and only asks that you respect shop owners or private property and their rules about guns.
