How do "catch me if you can" and federal reserve connect?

Only reason honestly that I put this in criminal law was because in the movie Leo DiCaprio played a con-artist aka a criminal.. Really I dont know anything about criminal law I just need some help with this assignment..

I watched the movie "Catch Me If You Can" and read these six functions of federal reserve bellow, but am still struggling with the assignment also written below.. I got some of it, but still not enough for the assignment to be done, so some suggestions would be VERY VERY helpful!

6 FUNCTIONS:

1. Check Clearing: The Fed transfers checks and their respective funds from one bank to another for payment.

2. Federal Government Fiscal Agents: The Fed issues checks to pay the government's bills. (foreign, national or otherwise)

3. Supervising Member Banks: The Fed audits (checks and records in detail) banks, sets loan limits, regulates interest rates and insures the security of your money. Notice the FDIC sticker as you walk into the bank. This says we are insured and protected by the Feds.

4. Holding Reserve Requirements: The Fed sets the reserve requirement ratio and safeguards the reserves (Fort Knox).

5. Supplying Paper/Coin Currency: The Fed prints cash as needed, or replaces damaged currency in circulation.

6. Regulating the Money Supply (Monetary Policy): The Fed increases or decreases the money supply to help stabilize the economy. Remember the rule --- If there is too much money circulating in the economy, inflation is gonna happen.



ASSIGNMENT:

Identify and Explain (in detail using examples from the film) three of the six functions being performed (or in some cases not performed) in the film.
