How do I accept a family request on facebook?

I know how to accept it but when my fiance's mom sent me one I cant remember if I clicked daughter in law saying that I was hers or mother in law saying she was mine, but it shows up that she is my daughter in law. Which do I click to say she is my mother in law?

go to:
edit profile.
Friends & Family
& then check it from there.
