How do I find out if there is a class action lawsuit pending for a drug I've taken?

I have epilepsy and have had some severe side effects from one of my medications, I was wondering how to find out if anyone else out there was having the same issues and if anyone has filed a suit against the drug manufacturer?

If it is a major drug manufacturer that you are facing, there will usually be legal reports if a class action has been filed. You can find press releases or website that are talking about the legal action. If you consult an attorney that has experience in class action lawsuits they will usually be able to tell you if anything has been filed.

Currently there is a class action that was just filed in St. Clair County WI against the manufacturers of a drug called Depakote - Abbott Laboratories. I don't know if you took depakote for your epilepsy but this is a common antiepileptic drug. I was able to find information in the county records of St. Clair:

Although you did specify the name of the medicine you took, i did a search for you and came up with this site that listed numerous drugs with known issues and also information on cases filed on the manufacturers.. hope it helps.

Do a google search like this....."class action suit" then name of drug on the outside of the quotes. If there is one, it will come up.
