How do I help this little girl?

Postby tim » Sun Dec 25, 2011 3:36 am

I see this family at the bus stop every morning. At first i talked to them, there kids were cool with my kids and stuff like that. Then I started noticing the little girl showing up at the bus stop with bruses on her arms. one day she showed up with what looked like a large hand print on her arm. Not thinking about it I started bringing the kids down to play and they started bringing her kids down to my house.

One day whild the kids where playing, i noticed a huge bruse on the daughters leg. I asked what happened and the mother said that she fell, yet the little girl said that daddy pushed her down the stairs. That startled me. I tried to believe the mother, until a few days later when I was at there house. The girl had dropped some thing and the dad began yelling. when she started crying, dad picked her up by the front of her shirt a slammed her againced the wall, picking her up to his level (feet off the floor). I freaked, i told him that if he toched her like that again in front of me, that I would kill him. I left and called child protective. they came and did nothing. a month later mom came pounding on my door screening that her husband had put her through a window, the little girl had cuts and scratches all over her. I let them in and called the cops, again nothing was done. A while later I convimced the wife to call a demestic violence place, who came out and again nothing was done. Does this kid have to die for the law to do something? What can I do to save this kid that I havent allready done? Someone please help.

I have never seen him touch the 3 yr old boy, only the 5 yr old girl, if anything he babies the boy. Now I found out that after finally defending her daughter he managed to get a restraining order against her, and getting custody of the kids. Leaving them alone with the abusive parent. Now no one is there to prevent him from getting worse. He will kill this girl, I know it. I think he has a hatred toward women. He even beats the female dog. the male before her was spoiled.

Please, what do I do? I keep calling child welfare, but they keep doing nothing. It's been 2 yrs since I started noticing this stuff. They will take me to court for a cluttered house, but they are willing to let a kid die in her own home. It's not right.

Just someone please give me an idea on what to do, any idea at all.

WARNING: I will not tolerate any nasty, vulgar, insulting, or just plain mean answers. Please be nice or get reported.

If you've called them and they haven't done something . . . I would try and video tape something for evidence, take pictures or bruises so they have proof. Or try and gain custody of her yourself . .. but then you'd have to move and I'm not sure that would even work.

Wow law enforcement is a piece of sh*t how could they just let it continue?

You should talk to the father (assuming he's not that much of a psychopiath that he will start trying to kill you too) about it. If that doesn't work tell as much people as you can about the situation. There's power in numbers, and the cops might listen to the elementary school of the child if they began complaining as well.

Looking at my 11 month old baby boy, i don't see how any body in the right mind could ever hurt an innocent little kid. Seriously. Sounds to me like you did the right thing each time, I'm not sure what else there is you could do. Poor little girl, i hope she is okay.

If the police did nothing, it's not usually for their lack of trying. More than likely the victim dropped the charges or refused to cooperate.

Keep reporting it to the police, every time you see anything happening. Please keep reporting to child welfare services - did you identify yourself? That usually helps -- if they have an adult willing to make a statement. if he got custody, maybe you can find out the court that gave him that - and call that court, get in contact with that judge - and tell him what is happening.

This is a hard question to answer but i would confront the man and tell him how could you hurt such a small child. Then would tell the police that this guy constantly hurts his kids. If that doesn't work then idk what will. ..........

Always hide a recorder were ever you go... thats what i did to stop people in the change rooms from taking my stuff so i always knew who it was.

I can see that most of the people in your area are probably mentally retarded (like the cops)

What I would do is give the proof about whats happening. Like try to get it on video. Ask the 3 year old boy about it. Does he notice anything around the house? And at the school, make sure to keep in contact with them. See if they notice her getting upset.

You should go to the little girls school and tell the social worker. They will handle everything and make sure that she is in safe hands.Or take her down to the police station and have the little girl tell everything and show the bruises on her body. I hope in the end she will be OK.I don't understand why the police wouldn't do anything they are the ones that's suppose to protect. but for that parent karma comes back to everyone.

As sad as it is, there's really nothing more you can do except to keep reporting it. I know this is going to sound harsh, but you've got your own kids to worry about, so I would not be trying to confront or threaten this guy. The last thing you need is for this psycho to start coming after you and your kids. It sounds like you've had your own issues with CPS, so it's not surprising that they aren't taking your calls seriously. And if you've had issues with CPS (where they've actually taken you to court, you say) no one is going to give you custody of "some little girl up the road", you aren't family. This is really upto the mother. She needs to speak up, she needs to find a way to get them to listen. And sorry, but what is this restraining order and him getting custody about? If he was able to get custody and a restraining order against her, then we're not hearing the whole story! I would focus your attention on supporting the mother, helping her to develop the strength to stand up to him, and escape with the kids to a safe place, start her life over. In the meantime, continue to keep your eyes open , and a camera handy! Sometimes being the hero isn't about saving someone, it's about teaching them to save themselves. I work in the social work field, I deal with this $h!t everyday!
