How do i make a provisional patent application drawing?

Postby raleah » Wed May 30, 2012 1:01 pm

does it have to be made on the computer ? or does it have to be hand drawn ?
and if i do get a professional to do it for me, is there any steps to take to make sure they wont steal my idea ?
also please keep in mind that this is not an actual patent.. but a provisional one for only one year until i file for a permanent one.
thanks!

Alex:

Here is an example and what can be charged..

However, you CAN do it yourself too!
There is no requirement that it be done by anyone in particular!

Learn more about the Provisional Application for Patent...

http://provisionalpatentvideo.com/patent-instructions/Provisional_Patent/Patent.html

And.. use the NDA in that site (or something similar) with whoever you have do your drawings!

A provisional application does not have to be in any particular form; it just has to be clear and complete. I have seen provisional applications with handwritten notes and freehand sketches that are later converted to professionally drafted utility applications -- as long as it is not ADDING anything material, which would undermine the priority filing date.
