How do I reserve the right to a name for my business?

I would like to start my business for my clothing line and would like to know how to reserve the rights or copyright or trademark (i don't know the difference?) my company name? Furthermore could you tell me the costs of this andcan you tell me if i can write a
letter for the time being explaining how i reserve the rights to thw name and get it notarized?

you need to make the business matters documented then ask a lawyer to notarize it that will make it legal then for you to achieve the rights have everything registered on the government. you're lawyer will explain the details to you.

trademark it - you need to do research to see if anyone else is already using the name

contact government agency in your country that handles trademarks and copyrights
