What type of business structure is good for fashion line business?

I'm starting a fashion line structure with a friend out of my dorm. I want to make this a legitimate business and I have already some clothing and brands I want to trademark or register. I just want to know what type of company should I start? Sole Proprietor? Partnership?

Do you mean partnership with your friend or whom?
I think you should start off as the sole proprietor first, and if you're struggling go into partnership with local small clothing shops etc.
Go around selling your clothes around college. Offer perhaps a free gift, such as free tutoring with one of your smart friends or personalised name shirt or a pack of sweets etc.

Here is an idea: Once you've made enough money, pay a small commission to some people to wear your shirts (advertising it) then sell your shirts to others. If you get enough people to do this, your line will become a 'trend' and will start becoming very popular, that you can now take it outside of college and online and other places :)

You said you're starting the fashion line with a friend, thus partnership would be a better choice. Have a well-mapped marketing campaign to make your business successful. You can invest in printing fashion catalogs and other marketing prints to promote your business.

Your business should be online shopping, in my opinion. Since you business covers clothes. The best place to reach most customers is online shops where you can show all your clothes at one place. I have one online store offering cheap bridesmaid dresses, you can come here to have a visit
