How do you know if someone likes you?

I'm really confused with this boy because we've never really talked except for me giving him a gift during valentine's day. He knows i like him but there were some misunderstandings and someone told him that i'm a stalker (I'M NOT) and so we kinda avoided each other? But now, he's almost everywhere that i am in school; like, he will walk by where my class is or my usual hangout with my friends. Sometimes, he would also wait outside my classroom even though his class is at the other side of the school. And his friends went to ask my friends if i still like him, and one of them even asked ME too. And he'd sit next to me when we had to sit in our class line, and if our eyes meet, instead of looking away, he'll always try to hold my gaze and maybe smile at me too, while i'll be the one that breaks it. I don't get it, if he thinks i'm a stalker, why did he do all this instead of avoiding me? His body languages and all his actions are so different from what he says. What do you think? Could he be sort of attracted to me too? Should i talk to him again? Please Help!

First Theory: He probably like you and I don't think he thinks you are a stalker, I think. You might need to give him a bit of time, give him some more chances maybe he will tell you everything.

Second Theory: It's all your imagination, he might really just walked to your 'hangouts' but never planned to do so.
