Like if someone was degrading your face, using your avatar picture and saying its them and making it sound like you were vain and people were making fun of you because of it.

What would you do, how do you sue them off of yahoo answers for slander!

Unless they are using a real picture of you then you don't have a case. If they are using one of those cartoon avatars and your name then they are allowed to do that.

My real name isn't Burberry McChav but I'm using it, so people can use any name they like as a nick name on here. You don't own your name and people can legally call themselves whatever they like, in real life as well as on web sites.

If they are using a real picture of you then email yahoo about it. The most that will happen is that they will delete the account of the person impersonating you if this is the case.

It is illegal to impersonate people using real pictures and you could report that to your local police, but I'm not sure how seriously they would take you and if they would look into it properly.

It is advisable to never use a real picture on here because if you get well known people will clone your account.

I meant on here, if you are seen a lot, people will clone you. I wasn't talking about whether they know you personally or not.
