i just got injure at work i work in a meat department and a knife went into my hand cutting or damaging some nervs or tendons ,i went to the hospital and i had 10 stitches after that i could not feel my index right finger now my question is .. im having surgery in 2 day and iil be off from work how much do i receive from my workers comp? is it 2/3 of the gross of what i make? now am i eligible for a compensation from the surgery? thank you!!!!!

The medical bills and surgery will be paid for by the workers comp insurance company. You will receive 2/3 of your gross salary after you have been off of work for 14 days. It will be retroactive back to day one but you have to be off for 14 days.
As soon as you can ask for light duty work so that you can get back in the swing of things.

Don't milk it or try to take advantage. It will not go well with your employer.
