Ok in the summer of 2009, I got my drivers liscense suspended for failure to pay a ticket. Then I got pulled over and got a ticket for driving while suspended, got a court date and everything. Then I had to drive to the doctor, cause no one could take me, got pulled over again, and ticketed for driving while suspended. Ididn't do any time then, though the DA wanted me too. The Judge gave me a big *** fine which all got paid in full and everything. Ok, now my liscesne was suspended again for not being able to pay an Insurance ticket at the end of August, and of course with my luck, in early September, I got pulled over for a busted tail light, and guess what? Got another ticket for driving while suspended. So I went to the court house and set up a payment agreement on the Insurance ticket, and was waiting for them to unsuspend my liscense. Then today I had to go up to the Mental Health Center and get all my anti-anxiety and deppression drugs refilled, well sure enough. I Got pulled over again, and got another ticket for driving while suspended. Mind you, I have only had one moving violation in that whole time. All my tickets are for either expired tags, or driving with no Insurance, of course is a HUGE fine in Iowa, which I can't pay. So that leads to me getting suspended, and these driving while suspended tickets. Please, I'm scared to death of doing jail time, and I know that that's a possible sentance the judge could pass down if he chose to. I mean, I'll work with them, and try to pay any fine they want to slap me with. I just don't wanna do any time!
So I was wondering if there are any Iowa law experts out there who can tell me how likely Jail time is for me?
Thanks in advance for any help I get!
