How much change and covering up do defense attorney allowing to do without accused illegal?

Postby ardwyad » Fri Dec 23, 2011 2:20 am

We all know that attorney aren't allow to bring in a witnesses that will give false statements in the court.

However I was asking how far at covering up or change story without get themselves into legal problem and suspended from practice the law.

I am talking about both for criminal and civil case.

Maybe all lawyers aren't allow to change or add or take off the story, maybe law say lawyers has to give excat as what really happening.

The reason I ask is because lawyers always bring up "IF" or "possible" when it really aren't if or possible at all.

Lawyers can't change what happened. Defense lawyers can however add evidence that will help their client be proven innocent and attempt to block evidence that will make their client be proven guilty.

Their job is to defend you. They will do what they can to slant the story so that there is the needed doubt to get you off. The will bring in expert witnesses that can or will refute what seems to be the facts. They are only giving their opinion and a lot of these people are for sale. You testimony is rehearsed so that you says only what you are supposed to say and it is the defense's job to trip you up so that you look guilty...whether you are or not. All things are possible....They got OJ off and that proves it. The correct way to think of it is that the person with the better lawyer wins. You figure that out and you've got it.

Your bizarre abuse of the rules of English grammar and syntax are giving a migraine. Yahoo Answers is available in over a dozen different languages, so look at the flags of the bottom of the page, see if any correspond with your native tongue and go ask your question there.
