How much maintenance do I have to pay?

Postby hampton83 » Tue Jul 31, 2012 2:17 am

I earn £29k per year and have a 3 year old and 12 year old to different mums. One has a new partner And own home the other single, possibly, and her own home . I pay £150 per month to each mother, as per CSa guidelines. My daughter stats between 52-100 nights a year . My son not as often with him being older . Have I done everything right ?

I also left my last wife with any callaterall in the property along with all of the family homes contents , for a clean break, not that this matters
Your help would be much appreciated

How much maintenance do I have to pay?

Paul if you really earned £29k per year, how come you could not afford some rubbers? If you had used some of those Durex thingies you would not be in this mess right now. How many more kids are you going to produce and abandon before you realise that you have to buy and use some rubbers?

From what you say, you have done everything right, you got two different women pregnant, then left them and now you are paying £150 to each mother so I guess you have gone by the book.

So all you have to do now is to keep visiting your kids as often as you can and keep on paying half for their birthday and christmas presents, their education, their fancy clothes and trainers, their iphones etc. etc. You do realise that paying Child Support alone is not going to be enough as they grow up don't you?

Kids are expensive nowadays, whether they live with you or not, if you create them you have to pay half for them.

To be honest if you are on 29K a year I dont think you are paying a fair share to the upkeep of your kids. They are expensive to raise and your 150 per month is nothing when you are earning that much. You say as per CSA guidelines but has there actually been CSA nvolvement?I think you may find yourself paying out more if either of the women chooses to take that route.

I am glad to hear you have had the 'snip' as you put it. Having had two women, both mothers of a child by you leave you would indicate that you are not equipped one way or another to be a partner or a parent.

As to taking umbrage at any comments or answers given - why ask the question in the first place? Did you think people were going to say oh you are giving those women too much each month for those kids or what. Were you looking for a pat on the back because you are contributing a miniscule amount to the rearing of your kids? I don't know quite what you expected but obviously it was not what you have received in response to your post.

Sorry about that.
