How to clean and protect expensive patent leather shoes? saphir vs lexol vs meltonian?

someone mentioned these brands to me but there are a lot of shoe cleaning/polishing products for each, so which one in particular would I need? please give links to amazon or some place where you can buy them online or in new york city. I assume I would need 3, for cleaning, polish, and protecting.. do I need to waterproof too? Is there like an all-in-one shoe product that does all of those? they're very shiny and I would like for them to stay that way. Do you need to use all of these products weekly and can you use them on leather bags too? thanks!

vaseline will do all of the above
wipe over with a soft cloth
then dipa clean cloth into the vaseline
rub it in all over, it will make them very dull
then get another soft cloth and buff it all off
it will shine them, protect them and keep them supple so no creases will form etc
