How to fight a no turn on red ticket (improper turn at traffic signal) in NJ?

I just got a ticket for making a turn on red. I honestly drive by there once or twice a year and I got that corner mixed up with the corner right after that one, which has a no turn on red under certain hours. I didn't have my correct glasses (still legal to drive with the ones I was wearing) so I couldn't see the small writing under the "no turn on red" sign, found out it said except on green arrow (which wasn't green). Can I plead improper equipment under this situation? I know I could do it for speeding, just not sure if it still applies for this violation. I would also like to know about how much this would cost me, I've searched it, but can't find the cost. Thank you in advance! I will choose best answer.
