I just received the approval for the I-130 petition for my husband who lives in the Dominican Republic.  I am a US citizen.  I wanted to know how long does it take for the National Visa Center to mail out the forms.  I also wanted to know after I submit the completed forms how long will it take for an interview in the Dominican Republic.  I am aware that in the Dominican Republic this process is EXTREMELY delayed.

Hello Catherine, You should be receiving a fee bill within about 30 days or so and if not contact the National Visa Center at 603-334-0700.   As for the time it takes.   It really depends on how you present his visa package.   Meaning, if you submit the visa package with all the required documents and information at the very beginning it will avoid unnecessary delays.   Once they have everything and they have reviewed everything it should take about 60 to 90 days for your husband to get his interview.   However each consulate has their own way of processing these visas.   I have not heard anything bad from the Dominican Republic.   If you need assistance with filing out these forms please visit my web page at www.condelegalsolutions.com   Either way, good luck.
