Driving at over 100 mph is a serious infraction. While the maximum base fine is $500, that does not include the assessments California adds to all fines, which would bring the total to over $2,000. The scheduled fine, including assessments, is actually about $880 which is probably about what your fine will be. A court appearance is mandatory, and traffic school is not available. This is two points with DMV--the same as DUI and reckless driving. The court can suspend your drivers license for up to 30 days.
Usually the best outcome is a reduction to speeding over 25 mph above the limit, but at 111 mph that is probably not in the cards. Due to the risks, some people hire an attorney to deal with this charge, but since it is an infraction (no jail is involved) you are not entitled to appointed counsel if you cannot afford a lawyer.
