after a spinal cord injury john is confined to a wheel chair no longer able to move his legs.Explain how a spinal cord injury could affect the muscle of the legs

Your spine is your main connection of the nervous system to your brain, if you break your back and disrupt that connection to the brain you have thus lost the use of your legs.

Your spine is your main connection of the nervous system to your brain, if you break your back and disrupt that connection to the brain you have thus lost the use of your legs.
the spine is part of the the central nervous system, it connects all the nerves to the brain (basically) so if the spine is injured, it could mess up his nervous system, causing his legs to be paralyzed

the spine is part of the the central nervous system, it connects all the nerves to the brain (basically) so if the spine is injured, it could mess up his nervous system, causing his legs to be paralyzed
the nerves in his legs communicate with the brain by traveling through the spinal cord. once this bond is broken his brain cannot send messages to his lower body any longer.
