I have court tomorrow, on a trespassing charge.. Not sure what to expect?

Ok. I am in some legal trouble here, and not sure where to go with it. A couple months ago, I went through a very bad break up with my ex- Him, and I lived in a house together, and since the house was in his name- I was kicked out. I took some belongings with me, but I had arranged to get the rest of my things from his house, the very next day. He did not comply with the arrangement, and after much argument, and refusing to show up- I went through an opened unlocked window, went in took only my belongings, and left. Nothing was damaged, stolen, or out of place. He did come home that night, and had me arrested. I did confess to the crime, and was arrested, and charged with a Class A misdemeanor- Criminal Trespassing to a residence.
I went to court in June, and I had found out that he pressed charges against me, and I am facing either a fine, or up to 1 year in jail. This is my first offense, it's a misdemeanor, and I did confess, and went peaceably with the police. I am going to court tomorrow, and I will find out what will happen. Anyone with any similar experience, criminal past, or any kind of knowledge- does it look like I am facing jail time, or what could I be expecting from this? I am going to meet with my lawyer tomorrow before court, but I just want to have a little bit of knowledge or guidance in a situation like this. I am not asking for a lecture about breaking into homes- because this was my house, and even though I am wrong, it was a bad break up, and I know my actions were not right, and that is something I am willing to take responsibility for. Thanks!
