I have FMLA with my employer and I have been using it on a regular basis dur to my condition. My employer has ?

Instructed me that I need to go to my doctor or prove that I went to a hospital to get documentation to return to work. It is to my knowledge that FMLA was to stop all the unnecessary travels to the doctors for a return to work slip because of a medical condition that exist. The paperwork is in place; work doctor approved; medical approved; labor relations has approved the leave. Do I need to get more info than already approved? I'm not outside a 30 day window nor is my attendance abused. My labor representative has said there is a new change with FMLA but will not show me the change, nor have I read it in my bi-laws and contact that are all currently up to date.
I believe that this is a small act of corperate terristism to stop the employees from taking time off. I work for a very large company and we have a severe attendance problem. The hiring process is cyclical and my employer is negligent when it comes to employment. They have not hired in over six years but the company has brought part time help in to help. Problem is bigger then their numbers were expected ( my thoughts). Know, the employees are being harassed on this agreed upon doctrin that was put into place to protect the employee.
Has there been changes and if so, how do the employees obtain a copy? I believe I know my rights and benefits with my company and understand them well. This is unexceptible and we deserve better while were tring to heal. If I'm wrong I will gladly go with the new changes, just need to see the physical proof.

Corporate TERRORISM? Them's fightin' words. I would choose more carefully.

Your employer has a lot of flexibility in how they provide intermittent FMLA. They have every right to require you to provide documentation.

Yes. You need a medical proof you went to the hospital and now are cleared for work. It's always been that way. If your union rep is not backing you you have absolutely no chance of winning any battle with management.

Guess you'd better decide if you'd rather be "right" or employed.

Good luck.
